Avondale offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, focusing on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, at school and throughout life. Avondale Elementary is also a Cognia STEM certified school.

URGENT: Avondale Families, Your Voice Is Needed NOW! The DCSD Board is finalizing their school facilities plan this week — and community input closes SUNDAY, 11/9! We’re asking the DeKalb County School Board, the DCSD Builds Team, and Dr. Sauce to support a new high school campus for our Avondale cluster at the current DSA/Old Avondale High site on Clarendon Avenue.

AES Playground Refresh Project

We’re looking for volunteers and community partners to help bring our “refreshed” playground vision to life! If you’re a contractor, builder, or supplier with experience in landscaping, construction, outdoor structures, murals, and more, we’d love your expertise on our Playground Refresh Committee.
